BEGINNING BALLET WORKSHOP: SESSION ONE WILL BE THE 1ST SESSION OF THE BEGINNING BALLET WORKSHOP SERIES.

Adult beginning ballet at ODC is a beloved and important workshop to the dance program. Utilizing body awareness and sound ballet technique, the class is taught progressively over three sessions. The Fall session for Monday/Wednesday and Winter session for Saturday are highly recommended for people with no previous ballet experience. Everything will be explained and questions are welcome in a nurturing and non-competitive environment.

Each progressive session builds on the information of the previous session. All technique will be explained and questions are welcome in a nurturing and non-competitive environment. While people with previous experience may join at any time, we recommend the progressive continuity of a year-long study. We are committed to teaching ballet and how to make it feel right for each body.

Students may drop in to the workshop if the session not full.

Students should wear ballet slippers and form-fitting dance wear. Leotard and tights are ideal, but students may adjust their attire so that they are comfortable.
